Sciatica Acute24 min
The sciatic nerve is the longest and strongest nerve in the body. Western seated culture may compress this structure through dumping into the low back/sacrum. Sciatica affects many people as sensation traveling down the leg into the heel. Pseudo-sciatica travels to the knee. Both often relate to a muscle known as Piriformis, a pear shaped muscle that pinches the sciatic nerve.
This is a gentler practice for the person whose sensation has begun to present itself within the past 2-3 days. Focus is upon slow, mindful movements intending to create space at the origin of the Sciatic nerve. Wonderful for hyper-mobile people looking to build awareness in the low back.
