Phillip Askew began his yoga practice at 18, developing a home practice from various books on Hatha Yoga. He maintained a home practice for about three years, before ever stepping foot into a yoga studio. In the spring of 2004, he completed a 500-hour Ishta Yoga Teacher Training before being exposed to the arts of partner yoga therapeutics by his friend, mentor, and oneOeight guide, Simon Park. Phillip believes that no two bodies are the same and specializes in designing practices that tailor-fit students, helping them to reach their personal needs and goals. His classes incorporate elements of Thai Bodywork, Partner Yoga, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Iyengar, Pranayama & Meditation. Phillip’s classes are often both poetic and playful as well as rhythmic and meditative, deriving from both innate creativity and body awareness as well as classic styles and techniques.
