Calming the mind and breath, this heating practice reduces mucous in the head and sinuses. It is a method of purification, cleansing and purifying the deep lungs and the subtle body.
How: Sit erect without becoming stiff in the spine. Exhale fully and inhale slightly into the belly. Steady, rhythmic short, slightly forceful exhalations empty the lungs by pulling in the abdomen. Pretend you’re blowing out the candles on your birthday cake. The inhale occurs naturally as the abdomen relaxes outward. Practice 30-50 breaths/ round increasing up to 10 rounds. On the subtle level, visualize energy/light tapping at the 3rd eye center.
