Dr. Samuels describes her work with Debbie, a woman with 3 generations of eating disorders in her family, and nearly 35 years of struggling to reclaim health. A competitive marathon runner, personal fitness trainer, mother of teenagers, Debbie integrated her study and practice of yoga with her recovery from her eating disorder. She is an advocate for those affected by eating disorders, especially in midlife, speaking nationally about her experience. The joy of yoga helped her learn loving kindness toward her body and spirit and find peace.
